i did this when i first got the car, i figured id show u guys. Me and my friend shaved the stock center section of the bumper off too make it look more like an evo 9.

not bad, might look a little cleaner if you could fit the evo 9 mesh and emblem in there too, but thats all opinion.

definitly that was the plan...but i cant find anyone that wants to get rid of theres. Havent called the dealer yet, but im sure its not cheap.

an other thing i wanted to do was find a busted up carbon fiber lip and paint it to match the car. But no luck on that. If i buy one new...DEFINITLY not painting it.

 

looks good. will really all come together when you get a front lip

Well when the 9 came out, i really liked how it looked with out it. and i started to hate my bumper. Some lady bumped into my car in a parking lot, so i had to paint it anyway. So i figured id take it out.

I do miss it some times, specially when i see a nice clean 8.

 

And even though this pic is very crisp, its not the most flattering pic of my car.
Its lowered now and i took the eye lids off.

the eyelids look better on an evo with more bodymods imo

 

looks way better without it. you just need a lip to finish it off now.

 

It kind of takes away the signature VIII look from the front...but then again, I tore mine off and put on a different body kit because I wasn't crazy about the VIII front. Nice job, bro.

hmm it def looks weird if you don't complete it w/ the evo 9 badge. looks kinda like a lancer want to be a evo.

 

go to home depot or a similar store...

int eh gardening section the have all times of fence.. they sell something similar to the evo mesh
