Cleaning rims with brush

Any good ones out there? I went to a car wash the other day so I didnt have to clean my rims, they went to town on them with some brush dealie. Cleaning the BBS rims take me longer than cleaning the car inside and out.

This is the Meguiar's wheel brush. It works very well and can be found in many stores, including Pep Boys.

It's best used in conjunction with a quality wheel cleaner.

That's a superb product. As you may know, the S100 line is exactly the same thing as P21S and can be found at any Harley dealer at half the price.

In addition, the Duragloss All Wheel Cleaner is very good for an OTC product, but I really prefer the Meguiar's Detailer series Wheel Brightener.

i havent try this yet but i will soon, buy one of those "cleaning device" that you attach on a cordless screwdriver...i see them everywhere (pep boys, kragen, autozone) its much easier to clean it...sorry i forgot what its called.

they use them to polish rims, i cant find a picture of it though

Aren't you guys scared of scratching expensive wheels with those brushes? Or are they fine?

The brush I recommended has no effect on the finish. That said, a wheel cleaner may, depending on brand and its concentration.

Right Now I use the mothers "all wheel cleaner" . I use to use the armor wheel cleaner on my stock wheels but I wasnt sure it was safe for the finish of my volks (probably all made of the same consistancies but I would rather be safe than sorry). Before using the mothers cleaner on my volks I called to verify that it was safe for the finish. I have to change out my break pads though before the wheels start "pitting", On top of that at $8 a bottle and lasting MAYBE 2-3 car washes that stuff can become pretty costly because I wash my car atleast twice a week. I just wish there was a way to buy that stuff by the case.
