you need material to dissipate heat, but brakes are leverage... and components make a difference. the thing i like about stoptech is that if we have an issue, they are hands-on enough to make adjustments, try getting that from brembo.

i drove race cars with full carbon brakes, i did brake testing/development for hawk/ferodo/perf.frict/etc.... and stoptech has been great to us.

i think they have the best kits available for tin top cars.... look at the speed world challenge...

Well they are cheaper than alcon. Thats for sure. When the time comes i will have to consider stoptech.

honestly,

for anything but F1 or lmp, i dont think you could ask for more...

they are very hands on, every promise or comittment they have ever made to us has come through.

the standard 4 piston kits use very reasonable pads, and there are about 100 compounds available...

i prefer them very much over the brembos.

Are you going to use brake cooling ducts, or is that not necessary anymore?

there is a 9lbs difference per front corner with these brakes, most weight savings is in the rotor... where it really counts...

the caliper savings is 2 lbs...rotor just over 6.5

Ill have the exact weights and measurements tomorrow.

i measure rotor thickness, vane thickness etc... but left my notebook at the shop!

hope you guys like!
