Mini Antenna Alternative

Here's my mini antenna mod. Reception was affected somewhat but i checked all my regular radio stations and all worked fine for me. I just listed to my iPod all the time anyway. But here is what it looks like if you decide to do it for FREE!

All i did was snap the stock antenna close to the top of the rubber part. Then just twisted it until it just broke off. Looks very nice and reception did not get messed up too much!

Enjoy!

hell yeah! Didn't make sense to me to pay 30 bucks for a perrin or whatever when people complain about the reception anyway.

Just get a Element antenna for like $20.. It will look alot cleaner and you still have your OEM antenna to put back on if you sell the car for whatever reason...

Snapping your perfectly functional OEM antenna to make it a shorty is pretty ghetto... Are you guys that pressed over saving $20?

Done about 2.5 years ago.

As an added note, the OEM Honda stubby antenna (S2000, Element, etc.) is only about $20 from the dealership and the reception is just fine.

EDIT: Ugh, guess I got beat on that one. Oh well.

Does the SEARCH even go back that far? I thought everything got archived at a certain point!

IN which case my apologies i couldn't find the needle in the haystack!

I wasn't really busting your ***** with that one. It was in the How-To section.

I guess i'm known for being the resident Search Police or something?

All Good!...i always search prior to anything. There are just so many threads and most with titles that don't describe anything.
It would easily take hours to go through some of the searches that come up.

I guess you can't beat load of information being available. I wish forums had some sort of labeling system so people could assign labels to threads that would deal with certain area of interest (i.e. battery, transmission, etc!)

You can get them free from your nearest honda s2000, element, CRV, or pontiac g6.
