I just installed the Japanese IX bumper on my Wicked White MR last Friday and I wanted to share the results with everyone.
The bumper itself was a breeze to install, thanks to the awesome write-ups by jbigelow and Jakeg97. The only real trouble spot I came across is when it came to actually bending the license plate arms. They're alot stronger than they appear! That aside, the whole process took less than an hour and a half.
These pictures will show what the pre-painted Wicked White bumper will look like on a relatively stock looking IX MR.

Here are some closeups of what the stock exhaust looks like with the bumper. As you can see, it sticks out roughly 2" - 3".

Here is a closeup of the tow hook cover. You can also see that the "black" portion of the bumper isn't really black at all, but closer to Graphite Grey (perhaps a shade darker).

Finally, here are a couple distance shots of the final product.

As you can see, the pre-painted Wicked White bumper is a spot-on match to the rest of the car. All-in-all I am extremely pleased with the results.
Thanks to Max and everyone else at Gruppe-S for hooking me up with a great product!

isnt the VIII and IX colors diffrent...I think the VIII has a more of a yellowish hint to it
well weightless white vs wicked white are different colors, but I'm refering to the wicked white pearl bumpers (WWP).
How is it that some vendors have the extact color to match and others come with pearl added to the white?
Who's painting these over at JDM land??

I'm not sure exactly. I do know that before I went with Gruppe-S, I was considering ordering it through JapanParts.com and I had noticed that one of the color choices was "White Pearl (SL)". When I ordered it through Gruppe-S, I made sure that the bumper they were going to order was "Wicked White (W37)". They assured me it was.

I would actually love to see an Evo in that color as a comparison. I'm curious if that White Pearl looks anything similar to the Satin White Pearl on the 07 STi LE's.
In Japan, there is TWO white for EVO 9, one is pearl white and another one is solid white ( USDM WW). Some stupid S.Cali vendor order huge number of the JDM rear bumper in pearl white, so most of the smaller vendor get the bumper from them are pearl white !! The Gruppe-s order the bumper from Japan themself, so it will match fine !! Check with your vendor before you order !!
