I did some design work for a friend of mine that has a concrete restoration business. As payment we worked out a trade for an epoxy floor system. Just did this over the weekend. Now I need to move all the shelves and cabinets back in.
Not great pics but you get the idea.

This is no do-it-yourself coating from Home-depot or somewhere like that. This is a fully professionally installed system. They grind the surface and acid etch the concrete first, apply a base coat color, then the color chips and then a top coat epoxy. Extremely durable. It has a bit of a gloss to it now but the sheen will go down a little over time. And yes spills will wipe up easily. Only thing to watch for on it is battery acid and brake fluid.
Be carefull on this, it may seem durable but it will scratch very easily. If you have a motorcycle with a kickstand be sure to have something under the stand like a piece of carpet or something. Also for some reason new tires will eat through the epoxy. You need to lay down cardboard at least between the tires and floor. That stuff looks awesome and definitely has its advantages but like anything else there are drawbacks. Not hatin' just sharing my experience.

Dunno if I've got something different from what you describe or what but they guys that did this have the same system in their shop and they drag a forklift all over the place in there with pallets and barrels of their epoxy and other supplies. I couldn't see any scratches in it at all. My friend that owns the business and did the work for me showed me his own garage as well that he did 4 years ago. He's got ATV's and snowmobiles in his garage and works on his truck in there too and the floor looks amazing.
I don't think I need to be as careful as you make it seem.
