Right now I have Sparco Monza's in my car (long story short the recaro's were stolen), and they are just too narrow with those high leg blosters.

I've tried to think of a good way to mod the sparco's, but I can't without ruining them. I've tried the local Upholster shops and they'll cost more than to buy new seats. So I'm actually considering getting some s2000 seats and getting rails for the Evo.


I had an s2000 (2 actually) and loved those seats. They are recaro's in case anyone was wondering, but I can get them for about half of the cost of Evo IX recaro's.

Any thoughts?

sounds like a good idea to me i like the look of the s2000 seats although i never sat in them. i had cobra sport seats in some of my past cars, most recently the sidewinder which was a nice sport seat that was adjustable as well.

The s2000 seat fit me perfectly. If it wasn't for the high leg bolsters on the sparo's they be fine too. Of course then I'd have to redo the rear seats to match, maybe the door inserts to make it all look right. Either that or go with carbon fiber on the doors... So many choices

and i got flamed on for asking about type r srd recaros in an evo. s2k seats r nice but i think you're gonna sit really low unless you get some other rails.

 

I couldn't use the rails from the s2000 at all. I'd either have to find aftermarket recaro's that work or fab something up/modify.

 

im also a huge fan of s2k seats, however, i just dont think it would look right in an evo.

i guess i would have to see it

 

These look a lot like my 2006 Eclipse GT V6 Leather seats!(might be a direct bolt in option for the EVO

Bah, I may take my chances with modifying the Sparco's.
