Get the megan tracks, they're sweet. Great build quality, and great performance IMO.

I came from a 06 Si in a black pearl. I luved it, but it was basicly a 2 seater. You couldn't carry any passengers at all. The fit anf fitment were WAY BETTER than my 06 MR. However, what got me thinking about the Evo was the power. While the K20z3 is an amwesome engine, it has not torque (like most hondas). I was facing putting like 5-6K for mods to my Si or why not tade it in on an EVO, which I did. I do miss the quality of the Honda, and to be honest that K20 engine with some race parts could be a screamer.
The head on the K20z3 is perhaps the best head ever on a production car. if I had $$ to build a dedicated racer I would most def get a 06 Si and strip it and build it, it would be the best fun to drive on the track. And lastly I've driven countless cars and the 06 Si the best FWD car in terms of handling. That car rotates like a RWD car. Again if you wanted a dedicated track beast that would be the most fun go with a Si...
But dont get me wrong I am totally satisfied with my MR. I just wish the quality was closer to the Honda.
p.s. tell your buddy to put his factory Si wheels back on they look way better than what he has right now.....IMHO....

Haha. I wasn't crazy about the color at first but it's really beautiful up close. Really grew on me. Hondas paint is only one level above Mitsu imo. Not saying much. They use an electrostatic bonding process. Paint in AZ takes a beating though...

I agree. I've always had a thing for 4 door cars too. I think offering the Si in the sedan version was a great idea. The Si isn't selling like it should be though. Honda needs to up the ante in the next few years and offer a turbo charged application. I don't know if they ever will but seeing the new Acura RDX is a good sign.

i would avoid using springs on an EVO. my buddy Marv in Tempe tried some & said driving felt like a broken mattress!!!!!! if u want to get a lower stance w/out a compromise in ride quality, u need high quality coilovers (JIC, KW, Rocket Dancer, ZEAL, TEIN, Cusco). u drive a $30k car. don't b cheap & have it ride like a Kia...

Kia's ride better anyway! People swear by the Swift springs on ride quality and performance
