Airbags are designed only to deploy in a head-on collision (the front bags anyway, not talking about any side impact bags that other cars have). This looks to have been more of a sideswipe.

The SRS light is probably on because one of the crash sensors is right behind the headlight. That probably is or shorted disconnected.

The red fluid is probably the ACD fluid or the power steering fluid.

Glad to hear everyone is OK.

Wow, brings back bad memories.

I did something like that maybe 5 years ago or so. Going around a blind corner, swerved to avoid a deer, hit a bunch of gravel, spun and hit the guard rail. In my case it was repairable. I didn't have as much damage though.

As far as it being totalled or not, really cant say just from the pics. It certainly is repairable, but that looks like a lot of labor. If I had to guess, I would guess that it is totalled.

I would also recommend that you push to have it totalled, after a collision like that, it will never feel the same. I am an autobody technician so I do have some experience with stuff like this.

Good luck with whatever happens, and remember the most important thing is that everyone is ok.

Had a similar experience with my evo (check the link) but yours is alot worse and my damage was 10k. I would say yours is totaled.
