I wanted to know if anyone has this bumper on a IX? Basically I need to know if there are any fitment issues? I found this pic and I like the way it looks but was looking for more info. Hopefully Dave replies to my PM. It says VIII/IX on this page http://body-kit.com/lane804r1.html

 

the guy who started the "how low is your evo" thread has that bumper with a front splitter I do believe. A silver evo, Don't remember if its a IX or not.

That bumper is ugly.

 

His is a custom made bumper his is square infront of the intercooler the accolade one flares out

 

After looking closer. You are right. They are very similiar but have differences. Thanks for pointing that out.

 

Obviously you can't read.... Does anyone have this bumper does not mean Do you like this bumper? Does it?

Anyway, here is a pic of that guys car and his is an 8 but it's lowered too.

 

Thats not the same kit..his is custom..the R1 wont look like taht

 

I don't care for his front bumper even though it's similar. I was thinking of having the bumper painted but the lip done over with a carbon fiber vinyl or painting it dark grey to match my MR wheels.

I would have it painted black...it would look better than a vinal or having it match your wheels in my opinion. Just like the two peices on the side but keep the inside the color of the car

 

I had an accolade bumper, nothing but junk, dont waste your money.

Accolade has actually made there kits better and I really can't remember what they are making them out of now but im sure everyones feedback from when they changed the material is alot better..I would give dave@accolade a pm...I think thats what his name is on here. But I have no experience with accolades products but im sure they have changed since they want to keep people's buisness and get others to purchase from them

 

No you didnt have our bumper, you had a gialla bumper.

 

I appreciate the offer but unless I'm really hard up for cash I want the ability to return the car to stock.

I'll have the bumper painted to match my car, Apex Silver, but the bottom lip will get scraped here and there so that's why I was thinking of a darker color or carbon fiber vinyl over the lip that sticks out on the side corners. I know the bumper is made of urethane which is better than fiberglass.
