Just when I thought threads can't get any better that "what BOV should I buy?" this comes out of left field.

if taking off the rear crash bar does anything... it would increase handling because lost of weight.. :P

Ur horribly mistaken....its the BOV attached to the turkey caller thing-a-ma-jig that has the best performance! Works great during turkey hunting season.

Contrary to what the other people are making fun of, I believe it does make a difference if you remove your crash bar.

The bar is steel and connects the two frame rails at the rear end. Without it, it's very pliable sheetmetal. True, there are other points that tie it together, but it's like a strut tower bar. The more connections you have, the stiffer it is.

It's also similar to welding in a roll cage etc.

But in the overall picture, removing the crash bar won't really do anything to your car.

And if you get the JDM rear you will get more ***** so I guess that outweighs any sort of handling depreciation.

well when you remove the rear crash beam it would make the rear less stiff, but you dont feel or notice it imo
