thanks for all the compliments on my wrx w/the blue wheels. i guess my plan worked, dare to be different right? well just from this meet i can see that noone out there had any origionality, just buy parts i guess....and have someone put them on, or i know some people there do thier own work. But to tell you the truth i didn't know this was a car show, and i didn't realize that all of you were the judges...i guess i scored kinda low right?, i coulda swore this was just a meet, to go and enjoy youself and not get bashed on, at least that would have been the considerate thing to do. i understand if you don't like my car and want to voice an opinion...but don't hate cause your car doesn't get noticed like mine does, weather its a good look or a bad one. well for all of you guys with the back seat ripped out of you evo's good luck to ya and keep following the crowd, but i'll tell you one thing, your all going to remember the silver wrx with blue wheels.

Did you get bashed at the meet? Nobody told me this online forum was a meet?

Your car would also get noticed more if you only ran 2 doors, I bet nobody has done that before either!

Being the person who took these pics, i saw this wrx in person. I though it looked awesome.

loosen your throng bro.

If you're going to "Dare to be different" that’s fine. But if you are going to do something completely out of the norm prepare to take a little criticism for it. The funny thing is, no one actually attacked you about your wheels. People were simply making comments on a public forum Until yesterday, you weren't even a member of. People were commenting on your car from their initial reaction to a few pictures...........most haven't even seen your car in person..........so who cares!!???

But let me tell you. When you jump on a forum, especially when your car happens to be the sole competitor of the majority on here..........yeah, you might get a little crap for doing something as "original" as painting your wheels bright blue.

Then you come on here and say

"well just from this meet i can see that noone out there had any origionality, just buy parts i guess...." (Use spell check BTW)

Spare me........just because people choose to modify their car in a "Safe" and/or "Traditional" way doesn't mean someone lacks originality. I personally think there were a lot of nice cars at the meet that were done very well. From the cars that were mostly stock all the way to the cars that had major work done.

And keep something else in mind. You would have a lot more respect if your first post on this forum went something like

"Hey, I’m the guy with the blue wheels, sorry if you guys weren't a fan, but hey, i was just trying to do something a little different. You guys may not like them, but to each his own right?"

Most people on here would read something like that and realize that you were just trying to be original in your own way and would have respected you for it.

But instead you posted what you did and now you look like just another ricer toolbox who painted his wheels and then got super defensive when someone made a negative comment...........................

Nice job.

thanks carloverx, but rez, i don't think being called haggard and say that my car is hideous and my car was the honda of the meet....i think thats pretty fed up man...yea the evos there were clean as hell and i came with a pretty damn fast one also but theres no reason to hate we all have our own taste, and personally i hated my wheels at first but im not gunna let people bash on my car just because i showed up to a meet with a couple friends.

i completely understand what you're saying........and in part, i agree with you.

But you have to realize something very important...........

On a public forum the guy who might be nice in public will be a dick, and the guy who is a dick in public will be an absolute mother f_cker.

So keep in mind, what you read on the internet should be taken with a grain of salt, because people can say whatever they want.........whether it's positive or negative in an anonymous place with few rules..........

So like i said before..........take what is said on here with a grain of salt. A forum is great for sharing information and helpful insight, but when people's opinions are realized, it usually all goes to sh_t because no one can agree on anything........

In your case, i hope YOU like your wheels. Your opinion is without a doubt the most important because after all, it's your car...........no one else's.

I personally have nothing against the blue wheels, owning a blue evo myself I all about blue lately. but to each is own would be the perfect saying for that, I will say that the other scubbie with the VG and the craziness wing TO ME was not in good taste but again to each is own. That guy loves his car to add thos exterior mods to it. Again we're primarily an evo based forums, i'm the scubbie forums say some pretty f'd up s#$t on their own forums, just my .02 cents
