Just bought a new EVO & detailed it!!!!! RR!
This was day 1. The car (detail wise), was a disgrace. It flat out, looked like SH#T!
Im pretty broke right now so I didnt clay bar it before hand, (will do this next year), but I did wash the car, applied a fresh coat of 'Meguiars Polish', 2 coats on the hood and fenders, while the rest of the body I applied 1 coat. Then I hit the body with a coat of Mothers Reflections car wax, which really brought it back to life. I mean, I couldnt even see a reflection of anything before hand! Ill let the pix do the talking.
First day I brought it home last week.
Detail Day. Here is a picture of the hood / fenders.
SICK! Here is a picture of the hood, applying the polish.
Me going to town on the roof, which also had amazing results.

My second car had a paintjob that was nearly destroyed. Oxidation, fading, and Car-Wash scratches. I used one of those colored waxes that were popular at the time and the end result was amazing. 
It felt great to see the car look so good.
