New front bumper advice: Gialla / ViS fitment and durability?

Hi gang,

I've got one too many nicks and scratches on my front bumper and am planning to replace it. I have located a source for a reasonably-priced genuine Gialla front bumper, but I could also get the ViS G-Speed bumper which is a Gialla clone for 1/3 the price of the Gialla (company called Racerwheel.com, anyone used them?), and I've heard both are excellent fitments though they require bumper trimming.

This is currently my daily driver and an occasional time attack car, so I'm concerned about

1) Downforce and proper air intake for brake / intercooler cooling and intake air

2) Durability for street driving (will a Gialla crack instantly with a parallel parking "bump" unlike the stock urethane bumpers?)

3) Ability to fit an AMS Intercooler without difficult modification.

Any advice or tips on the points above? I've also thought about a stock Evo 9 bumper to improve cooling and looks, but not sure.

Thanks much,
Adam

a few buddies of mine had evos and one guy used a Gialla front, and it wasnt driven much.he never had a problem with it at all.his was really a showcar.the other guy had the c-west style front and there about the same hight from the ground.he used about 2-3 front because they keep braking, and he finally decided to go with a evo 9 front and hasnt had a problem with it since.i say go with the evo 9 front.the gialla front might give better downforce, but for street driving the gialla front will most likly crack easily.it will run you a nice pretty penny to keep fixing the gialla front.they both have to be the same with air flow for brakes and intercooler piping.also the intercooler kit is most likely to be made for the oem front rather than a aftermarket front.
over all i say go with the evo 9 front end

both made of fiberglass. gialla will require removal of crash beam. not sure on vis. Gialla does not require trimming like the VIS will.

Evo IX front bumper are way expensive especially from the dealer, about $1500 for everything. Your better off getting a used one and painting it. But I am really happy with the Evo IX conversion and fits like a glove.

One thing good about IX bumpers they are super strong, wont break off.

I have a source to get the bumper and all parts (without the front lip) for $812 plus shipping on the Evo IX bumper. Think that's a good deal?

Best,
Adam
