If somebody has problem with bang for the buck then why did they buy an Evo in the first place??
Rota OEM? Please provide an example.

I'm thinking of buying rotas but that would be my last resort. I rather have some real non knockoff rims with better quality and looks. Rotas have a great prices though.

I always like the Raid spin-off:

Rota - Kills JDM wheels dead.

From their website..."Rota wheels are chosen by Chrysler-Mitsubishi (Philippines) as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for its vehicles passing through the stringent OEM specifications of its parent company in Japan."

i think rotas are great and economical alternatives for JDM wheels.. not everyone is willing to pay that extra $1000-2000 for JDM wheels like volk or advan or ralliart.. and rotas do look good! but its true about the old saying that "you get what you paid for".. still i think they're durable enough...

The thing with Rotas is that they copy good designs and do not offer anything original and yet, they sell these "replicas" as if it's their own creation. What's the difference with that and buying Ebay replicas?

People ***** about supporting the real deal JDM companies and such but they buy cheap copied wheels? Just because it's not bought on ebay.. it's still pretty much ebay style crap...

But it's your money.. spend it wherever you want. That shirt is funny as hell and I've had it on my sig for awhile.

+1, that's why I personally wouldn't trust Rotas as far as I could throw them.

And just being OEM for the Philippines division of Chrysler-Mitsubishi (I assume in the '80s since they haven't been associated as that since then) means nothing on the grand scale of things.

I would probably get Rotas as a set of winter wheels but that's it.

Most people who are anti-Rota aren't buying Rotas because they aren't JDM, most people don't buy Rotas because they've heard the horror stories like in the link above as to why Rotas aren't good wheels.

And you don't have to spend ungodly amounts of money for good and JDM wheels. You don't have to buy Works or Volks or anything like that. Enkei's for instance are much cheaper and are just as good. And they DO actually OEM for A LOT of car manufacturers and in fact also OEM a lot of "uber JDM" wheels.
