CF hood grille removal

Hey guys,

Just got a CF hood and managed to put the OEM vent part in, but the chicken wire mesh is still there. I want to take it off and put the OEM piece on, but I'm not really sure how to do this. It looks like the CF piece was glued on (trim and mesh).

Anyone have a good way of doing this?

Here's a pic of my hood (not that this helps any, but here lol)

I have always put off buying a c/f hood for this reason as I've gotten very spotty info on what can and cant be done. Allot of people say you cant mount the stock vents, so let me know how you did that! as far as removing the mesh I have no idea, but I would start by figuring out how you would mount the stock unit on there, then see how you can cut it out and still mount the stock one in, assuming you can do that and make it look ok.

ya i would say just paint the mesh black and leave it. as i fear that tryin to remove the the mesh would end up leaving you a furbard hood
