CF Doors.

Alright, did a little searching, but couldn't find the information I was looking for. Has anyone used these? If so, what was your weight savings? Not site I've found or post has that listed.

We put them on our DTM/Revision race car. They save a TON of weight compared to the stock doors. There are issues with installing them tho. The rear doors come with belt moldings and the fronts use the factory ones, so that doesnt look right. All in all, i would say that they are for Race Car use only.

+1 for steel.

I don't think it would be very safe in a side impact collision if the doors were made of aluminum.

JUN makes CF doors. They are not on the market but can be made one-off for you. We can also get FRP doors from J-speed and Cruise Power.

damn even if you consider putting CF doors on a daily driver, I think you should consider what would happen if you were in an accident, that CF will ready do you damage.

I think it depends if they use Kevlar or not. And I'm sure other things are to be considered such as mat/woven, type of resin used, size of CF, # of layers, whether it's been vacuum sealed/curing process, etc.
