BTW, I've had the GTI since I drove it off the lot on May 17, 1991.





These are Baer rotors that save ~6lbs of rotational mass per corner. The difference is handling is substantial. The car (subjectively) feels like it lost several hundred pounds.

The GTI has a full exhaust, a Euro-spec cam, Bilstein/ Neuspeed SofSport (ie. minimal lowering) suspension, some mild chassis reinforcement and stiffer motor mounts), a wheel upgrade to minimize rotational mass, a LSD, a short shift kit (it needed it), chip and a tune. The anti-sway bar(s) go on and off as needed.

That's very observant! It's actually a Buschur Standard - same core as the Deluxe, but no trimming necesery.

 

Love the GTI, I had a '88 with a 02 VR6 swap and tons of suspension goodies. I miss that car so bad.
