Looks pretty good for a spray coating. But when you spray the tails like that, you don't get a proper white colored reverse light like you do when you buy the proper Evo 7 tails.

And to clarify someone elses post....the Evo 7 tails have the same exact reflector pattern as the 8...so you still get the 3 circles in the cluster no matter what cluster set you own.

SC~

Im kinda confused, what kind of paint did you use? Cause if its just lens spray 100 bucks is kinda steep.

I'd prefer the JDM Evo 7 tails over those, but they are definitely not bad! Good job on them!

I too prefer JDM EVO VII tails...the turn signal and overall look is much cleaner with them. Than again, for near 400 bucks, it should be . This thread is back from the dead.

The "NiteShades" brand is for this type of stuff. It is made by VHT. (may not be the exact brand he used, but I'm sure it, or a derivative of that.

Works great and somehow, you do get very good "normal" lighting when illuminated.

Alot of my M3 buds use this for tails, indicators, whatever...

It's even hard to mess up I found.

The really cool part is you can go as light or dark as you like. I blacked out my old set of taillights (M3) that I didn't need anymore REALLY dark. You could still see the lights perfectly well when applied.

What about the back up lights

Just a thought but I don't know if you guys even thought of what that will do to your back up clear lights. You won't even be able to see them anymore if they turn red!

You can see the reverse lights fine. I had evodave do mine. He is still doing them, and the headlights too I believe.

I used the nightshades on one of my cars and it worked very well. Looked professional and never wore off.

Evo1, I have never seen the stuff at a store personally. I got mine from Jegs. (www.jegs.com)
