Just got my StickyPod...First pics
great shots man! definitely better than hangin' your @$$ out the window like i usually do when i cover car/bike cruises. i'm curious about your setup though. i looked at the stickypod website and there wasn't any mention about use with a still camera. it sounds like you used a still camera to take these shots but correct me if i'm wrong.
thanks,

This is the 3rd time I've heard about these sticky pods in a week, it seems like they're worth having if you're into that hobby. I'd like to use one to get some tire spinning video in my El Camino.
Keep sharing the pics!

k, just as i thought. seems like such a hassle to use the timer release and depending on the placement of the stickypod/camera using the remote shutter release might not be possible. i know that there was a remote shutter release with a timer and duration settings for canon slr bodies but i'm not sure if it's still available. that could come in handy. set it for 10 mins, release every 30 secs, and just drive around. would you mind posting a picture of how the stickypod/camera is mounted to your car? curious about the strap placement and which mount you used for your d40x.

as far as the shutter release...there's a remote delayed release on the D40x which is adjustable so locating the camera on the roof (which we did a few times) doesn't become such a PITA.
I dont think i have the ability to do a continuous (every x second) release, but I'd LOVE that. Otherwise, it's alright as a 2-man operation...I'm not sure that setting the shutter delay to 30 seconds and tripping it before you jump back in your car to drive would be very fun!

It looks so clean.
