Which wheel cleaner to use?

Currently using the Mequires line, but wanted some input on which rim cleaner to use. I use it w/a brush as well, just looking if there's a better product out there.

I use Meguires and a soft brush. I also make sure never to leave the product soak too long on the wheel. Maybe 30 seconds from when I start to spray to when I hose off.

Meguiars is fine, but don't leave it on too long or it leaves residual marks. Dunno if it's etching the finish when it does that (wipes/rinses off) but I try to be quick about it.

I use Simple Green and it works great. I wet the wheel then spray with Sinple Green and wipe the wheel down with a rag and rinse immediately. Does not appear to harm the finish at all.

X2

Don't be lazy. A mild car soap and semi-soft bristled brush and a soft sponge or cloth works great.

The same applies for cleaning an engine bay. The less chemicals you use, the better. A lot of chemicals are harsh and can slowly remove protecting waxes and coatings.

I have used Castrol and Simple green and I must tell you that I no longer support any chemicals on the rims. Unless you degrease the rims very fast you will have high risk of damaging the clear coating on the caliber and the rims itself.

I suggest a bucket of water with plenty of soap and a pair soft brushes. . Try to flush/rinse the rims as fast as you can.
