My custom lip!

flame suit on!

Dropped car. Rubbing my rear fender, side skirt, front lip. So decided to make me a ground kit.
Its only my layout with box. Going to make real one with aluminum plate tomorrow. If it looks good, going to pay private to make me with sheet metal.
I'm poor army boy and 500-1k is too much to spend on lip.

Going to look like what i have it on tip of my muffler.
front is 3 piece, 2 side piece, 2 rear piece.
bad or good?

Im thinking by the time you make that one then pay someone to make it better, it would have been cheaper to just buy one... im just guessing here...

It's true, I had to read the post and go back and see the pic because I didn't notice then dent :-p

But for reals, do whatever you feel. IMO it looks bad, but it may just be the cardboard.

im curious to see how its going to look, because if you are making it out of sheet aluminium, and its not made the right way you are going to cut the crap out of yourself.... post up pictures asap!!!

I don't think you have tried to buy metal lately. China is eating up all our recycled materials, in turn upping the cost here on our shores.

Aside of that. I would worry more about the damage that stuff is gonna cause when it comes loose. Buy lots of hardware to secure it to the car. You would be surprised at the amount of force seen by any type of aerodynamic piece. I have seen a apr splitter come off at 100+..... No Bueno!

I do commend you on getting off your butt and making your own. It beats buying the same stuff everyone else has...

I would fear slitting my wrists while washing the car. Be careful, man!!!

Look at the bright side. You'll cut small animals in half at speed before they have a chance to damage the front lip.
