need ideas for center bezel

hey guys,

i dont like the metallic finish of the center bezel and i was wondering if you guys had any ideas for it?

i thought about getting it wrapped in cf but i've seen it before and i dont like it that much.

i guess i just want it to match the black interior.

i would spray paint it but dont know if it would look cheap and also, gloss black would be a no go because i dont have anything gloss black inside the car.

any ideas are welcome

thanks

pictures are welcome too!

check my "ix picture post featuring hot models" thread. i painted mine flat black, including the hvac controls, for some reason, paint reacts really weird with the hvac, and makes a cool texture. check it youl see. just an idea

loll haha..

You know like a wrinkle finish? They sell cans of it at wal-mart and such stores. You just spray it on and it makes the wrinkle finish.

I think it'd look interesting if done right, especially since you're not looking to do any of the typical things ya kno?

well it happened on accident actually. i prepped the console for paint, and i taped off the hvac controls, so they wouldnt get painted. i sprayed a few coats of flat black and somehow some paint got through to the hvac, so i decided id just paint it all black. i left it to dry and when i came back it dried with that weird texture. the only problem is that there is no numbers or settings on their, but i know what each one does, so im leaving it for now, i can always get the stickers later.

Flat Black FTMFW!

Dash board trim, HVAC panel, and shifter panel... its been about 6 months since i painted them, and they still look awesome.

i used Krylon Camouflage paint, its chip resistant and also "fusions" with plastics.

its easy....

1. lightly sand all pieces, make sure you scuff up all surfaces
2. wipe down all pieces with rubbing alcohol
3. 2-3 coats of paint would be enough, but since in car tempatures can reach 110 degrees, i decide to apply 5-6 coats. (make sure you apply light even coats)
4. dry overnight
5. Install and enjoy
