FL Evo in NC/Blue Ridge Parkway
FL Evo in NC/Blue Ridge Parkway
I just got back from a road trip to NC, it was my grandma's 90th (
) birthday. We (dad and I) went for a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway, it was very nice. Lots of curves and the tunnels were cool.
(all pictures are with my iPhone hence the quality, clicking makes them bigger)

Over look stops on the Blue Ridge:

My favorite picture:

That's Mt. Pisgah in the background:

Blurry tunnel:

And I hit 60k miles on the way back (total trip 1,270 miles):

This is a link to the map of the Blue Ridge Parkway, http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/map5.htm, we got on in Skyland (about mile 390) and stopped around mile 420. The cruise down was great, coasted most of the way and still hit 60+. Best gas mileage ever

Yes, I saw people doing it and I always thought it was pretty funny. I never had a reason to try it, but knowing about all the semi-trucks that travel I-95 and I-26, I didn't want to risk rock chips. Good thing too, we got behind some trucks with crap falling out of them.
