ya you can paint it and it will look good..until the first time you put your key in it and it scratches all the paint off....or just use your trunk release the whole time

 

yeah, scratching would suck. Maybe I'll look into something a little tougher - not rhino lining, but along the same lines. Just gotta remember not to "rhino-line" my key mechanism into a permanent lock state.

Unfortunately, the trunk release won't work as the CF trunk lid is a lot lighter than the stock trunk. I took a look at the "spring" mechanism and couldn't figure out how to adjust it for less weight. I'll have to do some searching.

well as of 8 am this morning its getting springs installed and i just buffed and waxed it yesterday so when i get it back from the shop this afternoon i will have to do my first photoshoot.
