Man, It cost about 15 bucks to do it yourself. Mine had the normal clear chipping. just wet sand the area, I did the whole carbon fiber part, not the painted side panels. I wet sanded the chipped areas until the chipped parts where removed and the rest of the wing just a bit to let paint adhere. Be careful to go slow and only a much as needed. You don't want to go too deep and ruin the fiber. Then, mask off everything around it, including trunk, bumper, rear window etc. Then use a good quality clear coat in a rattle can. take your time, make a few even coats with no runs. Once dry and cure you can repeat if desired or to remove any runs or orange peel if you got some. took me a few hours going really slow but looks good as new. had a few other EVO owners comment on how nice it looked even compared to one of their professional jobs.

My carbonfibre part is also fading away. so ur saying just take the CF part out and wet sand it and then spray paint it with clear coat. i dint know they made spray paint clear coat. thats cool. saves one money.

Post a pic of ur wing man.

I didn't take the CF part off, just did it on the car and masked the rest off so you don't get overspray on the rest of the car. I can take pictures now, I might have some of the before pics. I'll post what i have tonight.

Still need someone in Southern CA too. I went today to a local shop, but they weren't interested in doing it.
