Here's My Evo IX MR SE from when i got her very first week back in early 08, till now chronologically

i was about 50lbs heavier than

^^^ my first wave of mods 1 year after purchase, rocked it stock to learn the car through and through, i got a rexpeed carbon plate bracket, 24designs plate frame, perrin shorty antenna, girodisc stage 2 brake kit... sittin next to dad's RX-8

than after some maintenance done at Top Level Performance i started wearing the name proudly

than i decided to step my game up, GReddy Ti-C competition 80mm TBE, Buschur intake pipe, Perrin filter, Hallman RX pro MBC, Injen lower intercooler pipe, ACT street disc, and most importantly an E-Spec Tune from my good friend Erkel... all in a 3 week period... thanks to Erkel pushing me to mod up, and Top Level Performance for the awesome work, help, and friendship...

I LOVED THE NEW POWER, THE NEW SOUND, THE NEW CAR !!!

so i decided to take it to the track, and run it at the 2009 Evo vs STi day at Etown...

Funny enough, im pretty damn good at driving, first pass ever in my evo, 12.1 @ 114, followed by 4 more passes within a 1/10... i ended up placing 2nd place in the stock appearing turbo heads up class

than i got a spirit of competition vinyl, tinted the car with 35%, and an HKS type I turbo timer

than i blew my tranny in november of 2009, so the car sat until feb 28th 2010, when i brought it to Top Level for a Fully built 5 speed, twin disc, fuel mods, bolt ons, speed density, and some service

March 6th came around, and i threw it on a trailer, took it to E-town for the Evo vs STi season opener, and ran 3 time only runs just to shakedown the car, no practice with the new tranny, just draging after 6 months of not feeling boost, only changes were the built 5 speed, exedy twin disc HD, EPM 02 dump, and walbro 255 and precision 1200cc injectors... i ran a 12.2 @ 114 twice in a row after 1 botched run, with 2.0 60's both times...
still not done

Eibach Pro Kit springs, 1" drop all around, to help me get outta the hole better

and right now it still getting some power mods before i unleash it on the townspeople again...
Custom 3" Top level Spec upper intercooler pipe
TiAl 50mm BOV in red
ETS 4" FMIC with 3" outlet and widetank IX bumper design
Buschur Fork lock
Speed Density Conversion
Autometer ES 30/30 boost
Autometer ES oil press
AEM UEGO Wideband
Lancershop tripple pillar
and a few little odds and ends
hope you enjoy the pix of the progress

your pretty dead on, i love my evo ! safety is one of my biggest concerns, i may be young (21) but ive had plenty of fast car experience, my first car at 16, an 89 turbo supra 5 speed with a big wheel CT26, and at 17 i had an SRT-4 till i was 19, making 279whp full bolt on, plus my 3 years as a NYS EMT driving an ambulance professionally, ive developed a driving style that keeps me outta tickets and outta accidents, my only 1 was sum1 ran a red light into my SRT-4... and ive learned to feel my evo, with over 80 2-step launches and probably 700+ NLTS drag shifts, my father raced sport bike growing up, so he taught me alot about racing, like theres a place and a time for it like everything and you gotta know the roads in and out, and expect a cop on every corner... his teachings have served me very well over my 6 years of driving in New York
^IMO, i think they were doing testing on the ugly step child look and see how big their name was and how much money they could get for selling something ugly.
i think the do luck lip or i think the ralliart comes on the viii looks the best. but that's just me.
