are those color codes the same for all 03 to 05 models?

Well, I just got some paint mixed to paint my rear trunk lip and asked for Wicked White with color code W37, they mixed it and printed the label, It says " W37 - Mitsubishi (Wicked White/Innsbruck White)" . So it is confirmed that the two white colors are now combined. So if anyone wants to get the actual Weightless White color matched, don't just give them the color code, they will have to match it manually.

 

Its always been that way, and the code is always going to work. The original Evo color names have always corresponded to common Lancer/Outlander color names, but shared the same code, because in the end they are the same color but different name.

 

Has anyone ever found any cross-reference to more generic touch-up paint or spray cans like are sold in local auto parts stores, hardware stores, etc.?

What is the difference between wicked and weightless? I know they have the same color code but i thought i heard one was more dull looking or something like that...

 

They didn't have the same code, and they are different in hue.

W83 is Weightless/Innsbruck White
W37 is Wicked/Igloo White

I don't understand why Mitsu sells them as the same part number now, if what the first page says is true, they are distinctly different enough to look mismatched if somone were to repaint part of a car with the wrong one.

 

well i am wondering cuz i just ordered my JDM rear and was told it is the same also...i know there is a difference so i guess i have to paint it....
