Why would the resale of EVO8 tails be good?

Do you know any EVO7 owners that would want them?!

They wont fit much else!!

Just a bit of caution to others, I would guess some states may have problems with those painted tails. I believe the reverse light must be white. In PA, we have annual inspections where those light probably wouldn't pass.

Aesthetically, they don't look bad at all. Now you can use the $$$ for performance.

If you can look past the fact that the paint is not very smooth, and that you don't have proper reverse lights, thats not too bad for $5.

aren't the reverse lights still clear in these pics? or are the clear lenses under the taillights intended for some other purpose on EVOs?

If it's so easy to get the clear plastic cover off the assempbly to paint it, maybe someone will just start stamping out a replacement red tinted cover for us EVO8 owners?

Or maybe just the red tinted cover off the EVO7's lights is all we actually need instead of the whole assembly?

How about some red TINT vinyl or plastic or something stuck on the inside of the 8's cover instead of paint?

just some thoughts...

holy cow, he painted the OUTSIDE of the taillight covers???

I didn't realize that - I thought he painted the inside of them (taking them apart to do so)... YIKES

I have a nasty little 14" monitor since my big one died a week ago, so I will use that as my excuse for not noticing that!! Thankfully, today is payday and I will be stopping and buying a new 21" one on the way home :-)

Looks great! As for selling the VIII tails, I got either 150 or 250 for them (can't remember...but it's probably 150), which made buying the VIIs a little easier. Still, not exactly $3!

But, if you are lucky, you may be able to find someone ourside the US with a VII willing to swap lights. Worth a try.
