Evolution VIII Euro Badge

How can I know if an rear trunk badge is original Mitsubushi I bought one off ebay which is supposed to be real it has a Part Number but it has no Mitshubishi Logo anywhere? Is there a way to tell if it is a fake? I paid $65 delivered. It has the back tape and the clear back cover for alignment. I will post pictures later.

I bought mine off ebay too. I didnt really like the quality. If it came with the mitsubishi part bag, then you know it is the real thing.

I bought my Evo IX badge from Lancershop and it has been on my car for a year now. Excellent quality, no fading and it still looks good.

For the ones that have had the badge for a while is the badge plastic (ABS) or is it a tape like material with a chrome cover on it. Mine is not plastic it is like a double side tape material that has a chrome coating on it. What I mean is the letters are not solid like the small Lancer or the Evolution logo that comes wit the car. Here is a link of what I got. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120194456155 it also has the image of the part number sticker.

Ive never seen any of the Euro parts labels, but that looks like it was made in Microsoft Word. Mitsubishi's parts labels are pretty legit looking -- that ... not so much.

Nah, I wish I did though. I havent had time to try to source any of those. Mitsubishi won't bring them into the country. Id have to buy them direct from a dealer oversea's -- same with JDM parts.

Got mine off ebay the same guy you have that linked posted to. To be honest im not to happy with it 2 days after I bought them I had the car washed and the "L" got kinked. Its a very weak flimsy material. It's not horrible for the price you just have to be really careful with it. I personally am going to buy the real ones of lancershop pretty soon bc it looks like doo doo with that kinked "L". Also for peace of mind bc I won't have to worry about the badges being ruined every time I wash or have the car washed.

What I am afraid is that the lancershop bades are the same as the one I got from ebay. They both refer to the same part number and lancershop do not have a picture of the actual badge (price is similar also). The actual website of the ebay vendor is http://www.freestylemotorsports.com/...roducts_id=142
Anyone with the badge from lancersop can coniirm that they are real Mitsubishi. Does the bag where the badge came has the Mitsubishi logo on it? The other option would be to mail order from a dealer or Mitsu auto parts in UK.
