Look at Joe's tires on his wheels in his pics. Those are 255's and to me are stretched almost too much compared to the OP's 255's. I agree with Joe that 245's are pushing it and wouldn't do much as far as protection goes when hitting a pothole.

Mainly because different types of tires measure differently. An example would be the section width of a extreme performance summer tire and a high performance summer or all season tire. Obviously the extreme performance tire would have a wider section width and allowit to not be stretch as far. Take into consideration that the more you stretch a tire over these wheels the less protection you're gonna have on rough roads. Just my $.02! I hope it works out for you.

As soon as I get the alignment this coming week, I'll post pics. Thanks again for all the compliments guys. I am blown away that other people can appreciate my car.
I have falken fk452's in 245/40/18. The falken website recommends a 8.0-9.5" wheel, and the tire has a section width of 9.5" which is pretty big compared to the 9" section width of the OP's 255 Dunlop's. Usually i would not even consider stretching tires, but i dont want to wait until these tires go out to get the rims, and i dont want to shel out money for brand new ones when these are brand new.

Sorry to bring your thread off topic with the whole stretching and once again, your car looks awesome. i cant wait to get these rims.
