yeah f1 cars make more heat but they get repaired after every race and they travel @ 200MPH!!!!......i've been lucky ebough to witness the wierd microscopic inspections they undergo. Any little fracture and the part is trashed!

Odd that a complete CF hood costs $399 (whole lotta CF) while a pair of EVO CF A pillar gauge pods costs $269. Either one is fake or one is way overpriced.

how heavy is this thing? anyone know? i'd buy something like this, if it were .. say ... a HUGE weight difference from the stock hood, which, of course is aluminum. id only then buy this thing for the cf looks, which im not THAT into, or i have $$$$$$ to burn.. hehehe

Naww...I've seen plenty of CF hoods for $300. The weave quality looks fine, I'd like to see the underside of it too.

There is a decent chance that the hood weighs as much or even more than stock. A lot of labor time on carbon fiber is to reduce the amount of resin used (vacuum). If they use a lot of resin the weight would be higher. I would recommend that someone finds out the real weight of the thing before buying it, unless they just gotta have the cf look.

I'd be in for that. The problem is that shipping is aroung $130 per hood. If we got the hoods for under $500 delivered, that would be great. That would look great on my silver evo.
