Had a VIS hood on my integra GSR before i bought the evo. IMO VIS has some of the best carbon fiber products on the market.

I could be wrong but I think the monster sports trunk lid is autoclaved. Which makes it considerably stronger and lighter. That is if it truly is baked in an autoclave. If it is autoclaved it would be worth the money. Can anyone confirm this?

It is useful. Saving weight will make your car quicker and faster in the long run. And I also beleive he asked which one he should go with as far as quality, not your opinion.

So.... If the manufaturing process is the same for both trunk lids, go with the VIS. I have had a few of their products with no quality issues

okay lets think for a minute.... say you have 271 horespower and a car that weighs 3200 lbs it can go XXXmph

now lets say you have a car that has 271 hp and only weighs 3000lbs it will go XXX+1mph and it will get there quicker also because the engine doen't have to work as hard to get it there. It is simple physics.

I know a trunk lid isn't going to save 200 lbs like in the example, but that is just one of many weight reducing mods that can be done

trunk does not weigh 200 lbs... we all know that a higher power to weight ratio will improve performance, but a trunk lid is not going to do anything drastic to improve your P-W ratio... what are you going to save...? 5-10 pounds...

either way, i was just messing with the guy... personally i wouldn't buy anything CF unless i could see it in person first... there's too much variation in the ****...

normally with CF, you get what you pay for...

Well, monster sports is just really JDM thats why its expensive... But, VIS is really tight.. Except they have poor customer service... And.. If you need pix.. Kontradictions has the CF trunk lid..... ANd it does look tight..
