Its hard to see here but you should get the gorilla black lugnuts...they look really good on these rims and they are thin so you won't scratch rims. Also I bought mine 17 x 8.5 from Edgeracing.com with 255 Azenas for $1450. Awesome price for tire and rim combo.

Mine are 17x8.5 and can hold a 275 tire if I would want to go that wide. They are 15.9 lbs and it helps....................my full interior viii gsr that tips the scales at 2,990. Thanks though.

Sweet. I've been wanting lighter wheels myself, but just not in the budget. Note to self: Stop reading wheel threads!!!

Your's is the third silver wingless EVO that I know of in Tucson. Must be the extreme heat.

I have Enkie 9.5"'s and they weigh just shy of 20lbs.The OP was really concerned about weight.

There are also issues of stiffness but that is more an issue if you care to track your car and don't want to eat tires like cookies.

I do think there is a lot of focus on the widest rim possible but often for the wrong reason. I went with 9.5" wide so I could run 255s with ease and 275s if I cared too. I tried 255s on the stock 8" rim and you could feel the squirm... it was there, it was real it was sub optimal.

In short, run 8" or 8.5" rims all you like but consider sticking with tires that are better suited to such a width. One only gains maybe 1/2" of tire when going to the wider tire but gain weight... as has been pointed out, weight is an issue.

Ok im tired of people on here buying and sugesting wider rims that have never seen and will never see a road corse in their life. Stop posting about things you know nothing about like gettiing wider tires for better grip for what so you and your buddies can drive around town and chase each other like girls in a locker room. I see this all the time thread about guys getting theese big wheels with carzy offsets and in their pics you dont see any signs of rcaing (like roll cage, uprdared brakes and or pads a decnet suspension or even brake coolers) all yo usee is their big wide rims they just spent a pretty penny on just to be cool. I pull 1.6 60fts on stock wheels and ill doit on any other 17x8 how many of you so called wide grippers can do that. Not hating on any one but atleast if your gonna leave a coment (like should have went wider) atleast know what your talking about.
