Sun/Sound/Leather package. I'm surprised this old thread of mine got bumped up. For you guys with the vvme kits, what's the light output like? Bright or just kinda so-so?

Yikes, I know this thread is old, but there is A LOT of light/glare above the cutoff. Just goes to show that MOST halogen projectors don't mesh well with HID "kits".

My 04 Evo 8 SSL has HIDs! they would look better though if my headlights didn't have yellow pollen building up on em... other than that I like em' lol.

When you first turn it on its "so so". After about 20-30 seconds it brightens up more. (I'm guessing that time frame, didnt really sit there and count lol) I guess it takes time for the HID bulb to reach its operating temperature?

I dont really know anyone else to compare the bulb illumination with, both my other friends have the 6000k kit from vvme. So I'm not really sure how much brightness to fully expect compared to other kits.

I like the 5000k as my first choice but I got the 6000k since next step lower offered was 4300k. And thats too low for my taste.

Yea. I saw you have to pay extra for the vvme 5000k kit. Do you have any pics of your car with the headlights turned on? My hids aren't as bright as I would like. I have been comparing mine to cars with OEM hids though. I was thinking of getting the 55w replacement ballasts from vvme. My friend has a 55w 5000k hid kit on his car. They look really nice.

Bringing this one back from the dead. I bought the 55w 6000k kit from VVME.com and installed them last weekend. It's a good kit for the price but the 6000k doesn't seem anywhere near as bright as the stockers.
