grainy factory paint
Have you noticed that the paint on our cars isn't smooth, but kinda grainy? Here's a pic, take note of the wing piece and the side of my car:
My wing doesn't look that bad, but I did notice the paint on the aluminum panels, particularly the fenders, is no where near as smooth as my steel panels. When I first picked up the car, it almost felt like there was grit on the fender. After a couple of waxes, most of that has gone away.
Question, is all parts of the wing CF, or is it just the center piece? Whe I look at the painted part of the wing closely it looks as if it's painted CF. I can almost see the thread pattern.
That's called Orange Peel (because the texture looks like an texture of an orange peel)
Almost all newer cars have this because of the newer paint processes. Look around at other cars, they will all have them.

only way to get rid of orange peal is have the car color sanded one more time. if the paint is not smooth to the touch like after a nice wax like it has little bit of sand feal to it Clay Bar the car then wax.
