Gauge Pictures
xtnct... what kind of gauge housing is that, where did you get it and how much does the package cost? I like it and also the move of the radio to the lower DIN opening. Fill us in, how did you do it?
I am still trying to figure out a way to mount a 3-gauge pod on the dash to the right of the instrument cowl without it looking like ***. There is a sweet 3-pod (60mm) setup that brackets to the dash, but I don't want it looking crappy. Maybe I'll have the dash covered and stitched with Alcantara (that suede stuff on the seats) after I mount the gauges.
I like that one setup with the CF pod and the 3 gauges, but they always seem to cover something up. Does anyone make a multi-system monitor (ala the R34 Skyline GTR) that would replace the radio? I would ditch the radio gladly for that.

Another idea that I just have not had time to do yet is to first relocate the radio with the
kit. Then using the radio surround as a pattern, mold a carbon fiber piece that accepts three 60mm gauges angled and inset towards the driver. Done right, it would look factory, and could use the existing clips off the factory piece. There is plenty of room in that opening, so space should not be an issue even inset.

Option2, looks great, did you just glass in the factory piece? I thought about that, but I was planning to go with carbon fiber since it is sometimes hard to match the factory metallic plastics.

Gauges are Autometer Sport Comp. I don't like the silver bezel though, they stand out nore than they should. I think I'll spray paint then with the glittery charcoal grey color similar to some of the dash trim pieces to tone it down.

Instructions are here I guess, but I didn't really follow them. I just made up my own instructions as I went along...

Thanks!!
A guy I know took the orginal panel and created a mold from it. From that mold, he used fiberglass and gelcoat to make the panel. He used some kind of paint (I can't remember what kind off the top of my head) that matched the original panel. He is planning to market it but he is so busy with other projects right now.
