that's a tough one man. I love the stockers.....if you're looking for things like weight reduction then take it from other areas or spend that monster wad of cash that you would need for good racing seats and put it into something that'll make the car faster.

if you get new seats do you also have to get a new mount and slider?

Yes unless you buy Recaros in which case the mounts might be reusable.

+1. i have a set and they hug me so well.

one thing i noticed is that the evo 8 recaro seats seem to have more lateral support. evo 9 seats looks nice, but the thigh support side walls feel foamy compared to evo 8's.

I'm guessing everyone here who said stock hasn't tracked the car hard enough. Sparco Evo is a pretty good entry level seat. I like the Race Tech 1000's as another cheaper option.

I agree with jordans4. The stock seat are definitely inadequate for hard track days. Even when used with a 6 point harness.

I have been contemplating of upgrading (if some see it that way) for awhile. It's a daily driver that sees hard track days. SO although a race bucket is wanted on the track I consider it too problematic for the streets. Hard to get in and out of. Stock seatbelt routing with the side bolster holes.

If you love the comfort of the stock seats but want a little more support, you can't go wrong with Recaro speeds. You owe it to yourself to test a set out.

With that said I was looking for a Recaro speed seat with a more aggresive side bolster. SImilar in profile of the Bride gias. So I decided to have the stock seats constructed with higher, firmer side bolsters. The shop can't do it til the 11th of June so I will keep you all posted if interested.

I vote Stock Recaros with [binary] Lowering Brackets!

For a car that sees a fair amount of street use a fixed back race seat is a little overkill. But there are plenty of good, low cost fixed back seats. You don't need carbon kevlar big dollar seats. Corbeau makes a great fixed back seat for $400, the Sparco Evo is good too on the cheap.

Any aftermarket seat will require a brand specific mounting base, so don't forget the cost of that.

I have the Sparco Torinos and I wanted seats that will still recline. I don't track it. Everyone that sits in them says they are really comfortable. 2 seats, rails, sliders all for 1500. 1/4 of that was from selling my stock nasty blue and black recaro's
