I think it's the muffler that bothers me. I love it on the stock bumper but on the JDM bumper the muffler looks strange since the tip attaches to the muffler end tank at a 90 degree, while on the EVO2 it tapers from the tip to the round part of the muffler.... does that make any sense?

Ya know I looked at more pics of the EVO2 and JDM rear and it's growing on me. I really would like it more if the tip was cut maybe 2 inches but not sure if that's still possible without ruining the etched "GREDDY" on the tip...

I guess the stenciling isn't that noticeable. Sorry for the MS Paint chop.

Nice!

Yeah it needs about 2 inches taken off. Other problem is getting the cut as nice as the stock cut. I might cut 2 inches off the back of the tip and weld it back on the can.

I think it looks good uncut, Cutting it would make it look tucked in and stupid.

Yep. I use to think the tip expands in diameter as it goes towards the rear of the car. Therefore I didn't think you'd be able to remove a section and reweld. But I just went out and eye balled mine and it seems to be a consistent cross section so that should be possible. The etching is still going to be mangled but it should be hidden by the bumper.

leaving it uncut looks retarded. it sticks out about 3 inches from the bumper. i had mine cut, but i'm not sure how much was cut. i told the shop to cut it 2 inches, but they said they did the best they can without having to mess with the hangers. i will try to get pics of the underside next weekend.

Were talking about a completely different exhaust, And what ever you were trying to show me didn't seem much of a difference at all.

That exhaust looks pretty much the same as stock to me. I'm considering a more dramatic trim or else I'd just leave it as is.

The thread is about the EVO2 and JDM rear. Alvin who has the GG IX with JDM rear and voltex had the EVO2 then went with a Ti-C. The originator of the thread as well as others wants to know about the EVO2 fitment with the JDM rear.

So where did the muffler shop cut off the extra length from?
