so im thinking of getting a CF hood but idk which one to get, post up pics of your carbon fiber hood, on or off your cars, any color cars, just want to see what they look like... and im thinking of painting my car dark/ultra red pearl.. i saw this color on an evo viii around the victoria gardens mall in socal, and it looked ****in bad a$$. yeah i no someone has it so dont do it but oh well, wen am i ever going to see this ONE person agian. so please post up pics, thanks!!!!

i'll post some up after i get off of work. most of the seibon ones are heavier than stock. The JDM ones are all lighter IE the varis, if you have the money for it. I have a deftracing one and its a hair or so lighter than the stocker, the best stateside are the ones robispec sells, i think fiberimage makes them? I'm not sure can't remember. those are light and they are very well made.

ok but he said i smell rice, and if it was a little heavier then the stock one then dont buy it if your going to race, drag, track, or whatever. most people dont buy then for performance, they buy them to complete there body kits, or other carbon fiber parts, not for performance.

 

I'm not saying a cf hood is bad, I had a cf hood and trunk on my 05 and plan on doing the same thing to my IX. Just saying you didnt care about weight sounded rice. Look into Varis, its expensive but good.

 

k thanks, ill look into them but i wanna see what some look like, like diff styles and stuff but i said i didnt care about weight because what another 5 pound on a street car. and wen i get rims, i was think of purchasing one more for a spare, so wen i get a flat or something, i can have the same wheel on my car so it doesnt look like crap and i wont have to get a new tire in a hurry. sounds gay, but wen you get a flat you'll no how it feels
