What color for the Heat Extractor

Okay, getting the heat extractor powder coated this week. I need suggestions on which color.

I painted it silver to see how it would look.
Black Chrome is like gunmetal sort of, it's black but has a deep shine in it. I can get just about any color but I am leaning towards these two.

I'd stick with silver, looks pretty good. Goes along with your car. Although I'd like to see that Black Chrome also. I voted for #1.

Silver! I think the black powdercoat will look very similar to the coloring of the stock part and wouldn't be worth the effort.

Okay, it's gone and I went silver.
Hopefully the color match is close, or slightly darker. I think the reason it doesn't look right to me in the pic is that it looks a little on the light side.

Upper heatshield is getting Jet-Hot coated too. It was already starting to lose it's black coating as it was. Hopefully when I find a 2nd car (beater) I will do the manifold/O2 housing and the lower heatshield. IF anyone is wondering, don't try to take the lower heatshield off unless you are planning on yanking the radiator. That is when I gave up last night because I didn't feel like pulling the radiator out at 10:30 at night.

Can you recommend the shop you are using for the coating?

I am not sure. This is through one of my friends.
I will ask him how they handle regualr customer inquires, etc.
I do not know if they are a public type business or do this stuff for other business. I will let you know.

Oh they do public business. I can get the info if you want it.
The JetHot below cost a normal customer $75. Powder coating is cheaper.

Well, I am still working on the heat extractor. It's too thin to glass bead so it may have to be sanded, which is a *****.

In the meantime, I got my heatshield for the manifold back from being JetHot coated.

Looks good! At some point everyone is going to have to do something with this part or accept a rusty heat shield right up front in the engine compartment.....
