Well I sold the Evo 9 and got.....
i not a fan of chevy at all, BUT the Z06 is the only chevy i really respect in todays world.
and regardless of what everyone else is saying...im not surprised you sold the evo.
ive owned 2 evo ix MR and they really lose their luster after a year or so.
even though the evo has so much potential to be fast and is a very very easy car to drive fast, it really starts to get boring.
the evo is not a drivers car, it doesnt challenge the driver and really does all the driving for you. It almost builds a god complex. You sit too high and feel too heavy to truly feel like your in a sports car.
i love evos, but im still glad i sold BOTH of mine for S2000's
RWD, 2 door, 2 seaters FTW!

imo that was a down grade..i drove a c5 like that one and it was just about the worst car ive ever driven..that car cant even compare to the evo..in a straight line is all you can basicly do in that car..with about 2-3k in suspension mods...then you might be able to keep up..thats if your a good driver..just my 2 cents though..

Did you have a lowered seat and a fully bushed to trans linkage Works 6 speed short shift kit in your MR? Poly motor mounts, lighter flywheel? Did your evo put down 300-330+whp? If you make these changes/corrections in an Evo it makes you a driving god. Sitting high in evo sucks - its fixable now for 115 bucks.
S2ks come w/low seats, shot gun shifters but NO *****....thats the prob w/ those cars
Anyway: C5 Z06 is very cool for the money nowadays. Needs lowering! Its a free mod, just cut the rubber marked leaf to body spacers. Thats what I love about C5+....once dropped for free they are sexy
I think people comment Vettes are unsafe due to driving base models, breaking loose and skating in the rain (normal RWD stuff)....a regular non-optioned C5/C6 is very boat feeling...
I love vettes personally, but to each his own.OP dont forget to get that z06 a tune.Get some big CCW's later too
Good choice though. actually got an evo to hold me off until the 04+ zo6's went down in price so I could afford one.Best part is my insurance will be the same as evo or cheaper.
