Welcome to the dark side, now you can take your drifting money (tires, crashing) and really enjoy it. Let the 16-22 yr old lil boys play donut games and waste money while impressing freinds in parking lots
. I did see an Evo 7 in Australia though.
i wish it was like those days when you'd turn up to town and queen street would be bumper to bumper (and i dont mean 5pm trafik) with millions of video cameras hanging out the windows filming everything going on. turning up at manukau car park with like 200 to 300+ cars and everyone just going crazy about small things like having 18's with 35's.. when, i think in 2000 the winner of the import nats was a GTiR pulsar which ran a 12flat and around the same time reece had the fastest quarter in his R33 GTR with an 11.9.
when Brett Lee Sang was going crazy taking off his spoiler on his evo (everyone thought it was ugly) and the next, its the biggest craz out there.
there was a buzz in the import scene, un-chartered regions, people pushing boundaries, not putting up barriers, turbo performance was relatively new and everyone was just super keen to see how and what they could do regardless of what car you had, honda city turbo, 91 legacy you name it.
these days cars are less impressive and people are even more rude

hmm the street scene will always be the street scene.
back in the day there was hardly any engineered cars to the specs we have now..
i do agree tho with more money, more power and engineering people get stuck up and think they are better than everyone else...
but yes we still have the good ones hanging around.. are you in auckland like me too?
