alright so a couple weeks ago, the jupiter autospa in jupiter florida screwed up my JDM badge. so ive ordered another badge (its the matt black badge from vision motorsports ie: the lancershop one) anyways, i thought to myself this badge would look so much better in black chrome.

so i called the autobody shop with the same question, and they told me that they dont think that they could duplicate the color, but they could do a candy metalic smoke metalic silver. but this might not be what im looking for.

anybody have any ideas on how i could achieve this color? or do i need to order the chrome JDM badge and then have them spray an opeque black film over it?

 

Primer, metallic silver base coat, followed by a couple of LIGHT coats of taillight tint
