Your car looks cool. I have seen an EVO here in SoCal that was done to look like an old school rat rod - had pin stripes - looked like Jesse James style. It was very stealth. Oh yeah, it was Fast Eddie's.

Okay .... Story time...
Yes it was done with Krylon. Krylon Ultra Flat Black Camo to be Exact.
It was a lot of work.... and more work is still pending..
Process,
Sand entire car down, (except roof, which I wanted to keep gloss black..)
Once everything was taped/taken off the car ( Lights, mirrors, everything was removed.)... we prepared for the spraying.
We bought 26 cans (3 still left over). and had 3 people spraying at the same time. It took hours. In between coats we sanded the car ect... Ended up with 3 solid coats.
Once it was done the car looked.... Okay... but not great.
The hardest panel to paint was the hood... ( Which I eventually took off to spray because it was way to hard.)
After the paint was applied. I used my other hood as a test subject. Tried every combination to figure out what would make it look the best. We tried - Wax, Rubbing compound, Plastic Wet, Acetone (BIG NO NO), Armor All, all sanded and unsanded. We also did every combo of each.
We settled on Armor All For the entire vehicle. which made it look the best.
The Vehicle However in these pictures is "NOT DONE."
The car has not been sanded at all since the final coat was applied. So it is extremely patchy and uneven.
--- The car still needs....
800g, 1000g, 1500g, and 2000grit sanding all the way around. Hopefully once that is done the car will look like I want it too. This actually cost a lot more then I expected... This was no $50.00 paint job. I tried to do it as "RIGHT" as I could with Krylon. I most likely would have been cheaper taking my car to Maaco or Earl Scheib... but I like the control of doing it myself. ( I have No Overspray... and No Issues with my door handles cracking ect.)
I will take more pics when it is all done. Thank you everyone who said good things. I personally think it needs a lot more work... but I will be putting it in. If anyone wants to know more about the process let me know. I am more then willing to answer any questions.
Would I do it again? I dunno.... most likely not. I would rather use my Spray Gun which is sitting in my garage. This was more proof of concept then anything.
