Package Arrival



I need to change out my throwout bearing, so since my transmission has the 5th gear grind why not make an upgrade.
Specs:
-Evo VIII trans
-Street / Strip build
•New 3rd gear synchro
•New 1-2 shifting sleeve
•New 2nd gear synchro
•New 1st gear synchro
•New 4th gear synchro
•New 3-4 shifting sleeve
•New 5th gear synchro
•New 5-R shifting sleeve
•New seals , shims and snap rings
•New 3-4 fork
•New input shaft bearings
•New high strength roll pins
•New Reverse synchro
•New 1,2,3,4,5,R synchro springs
•Neodymium magnet
-Evo IX input shaft and 1st gear
An Evo VIII and IX share the same 2nd gear but VIII has longer 3rd 4th and 5th gears. Also the VIII does have a shorter first gear thats why I had him install an Evo IX 1st gear. My car is my daily driver thats why I couldnt send in mine so I had to purchase a core. They didnt have the IX core but since I was putting in mostly VIII gears I just went ahead and purchased an 8 transmission. The Evo IX gearing is just way too short for anything (my personal opinion) thats why I got taller gearing.
Well just judging by the outer shell, its damn clean and for some reason looks to be coated ?...
Usually I get really excited and end up installing parts the same day they arrive but I'm going to have to wait and install it probably next weekend. I'm still wating for CCI stage 3 clutch to come in. I bought it as a precaution but I think I'll switch out because stage 4 chatters way too much for my liking but grips hard and never slipped. Wish me luck! I'll update you guys on how it drives after install.
