Well yes but if it wasn't for South Coast and how they have priced new Evo's, used Evo's in this area wouldn't be so low and they offer free oil change service for life if you buy from them, I didn't know this until after I bought my car, plus I would say that any warranty issue I had with a car from them would be covered within reason without question.

Well a small update, I discovered what I wish and at the time thought was an over boost problem, turns out its the clutch slipping, combine that with a crunchy 5th gear and the old adage of you get what you pay for comes to mind.

Really was hoping to keep the stocker for several years as I am not a fan of the ACT pedal pressure and can't afford an exedy twin for stock like pedal pressure. I am tempted to just go with another stocker but I would like to go with an E85 tune in a couple years and don't want to have to do another clutch job for like 5+ years!!

Ahh decisions decisions

I also called my local dealer about the 5th gear grind and I have to authorize $1000 worth of labor before I know whether or not it will be covered, yeah no thanks

Well on a side note I got my vibrant cone filter in and installed and it sounds great. Can't really get into boost much though ^read above^ I also have AMS underhood shifter bushings on order.

Maybe I can solve the 5th crunchyness with that, fluids, and a motor mount. I sure aint taking it to my local dealer. I also noticed that the 1-2 shift is notchy sometimes, maybe it is the clutch.

I will try to get some more pics up soon.

Thanks for looking.

Well look what was waiting for me when I got home.

Thank you AMS Took a few days to process but shipping was super quick.

I hope to install them tomorrow but probably won't until Monday.

Well I the wife fell asleep on the coutch so I decided to sneak out and install the shifter bushings, man is the one in the back hard to get at, and once I got at it it was even harder to get the old rubber bushing out. I was afraid I was gonna break the arm, I am almost certain that I must have at least bent it a little.

I greased up the AMS bushings and put them in, getting the pin on the one in the back was a pain as well, i hope it never pops off.

Well I have an alignment scheduled for Monday and after that prolly nothing new till I decide on which clutch and get it put in.
