very nice. your car being white makes it pop even more. theres an apex silver one with a similair setup but w/ black work wheels. nice attention to detail. LIKE that you: kept 8 front bumper vs 9 or aftermarket, painted f. strutbar white, along with the valve cover & piping, and looks like your harness bar is white also, more original wheel vs volk and advan, selection of carbon pieces including carbon badge on carbon trunk, and that flex fuel badge just rounds out how unique your evo is. DISLIKE: voltex widebody is played out, im sure ya kno already but u rock it well, and just time to either replace or repaint those brownbos. keep up the progress, now that youve had it for 4yrs and supposedly almost done, are u keeping her for life?

i'd like to keep it for life but we'll see i guess (we all grow up). The Voltex is a bit played out but what on an evo isn't? The brembos are actually recently painted black... hard to see in the pics but they came out great. thanks for the comments.

having an issue with the passenger rear fender, it is slighly warped and the double-sided tape won't hold. I know i can permenantly "glue" it or even rivet it but i was hoping not to do that. I want to be able to return back to stock if need be. Any suggestions on this?

Looks good.

I woud have to say that cutting the stock rears is definately the "right way". Point of over fenders is to fit big wheels and big tires without the resrictions of the stock sheet metal. I mean yeah your setup looks hot no doubt. But if you don't have to cut some metal out of the way you don't have a wide enough tire IMO. My rear fenders will be cut for clearance and the over fender riveted on, very permanent... Yes. Doing the widebody was a point of no return for me. I really am not trying to be negative at all, Your car looks the ****.

What size rubber you running?

265/35/18 falken rt-615, you're right, i'm not that wide (18x9.5 +20) i just had no other option, i rolled my fenders alot and it still rubbed, i'm borderline between cutting and leaving it as is. Mine does still rub slightly so cutting is an option.

Yeah, rubbing even a little with a 265 sound like a PIA after you go to the trouble to put the overfenders on. I'd take the car to a good body shop and show them what's going on and get their advice. Clear that sheet metal out of the way and throw on 285's. Just have to take the dive of not being able to go back to stock after... It's guite a jump. The price you have to pay to take full advantage of what a widebody can do for you. Good luck.

Did you rivet the rear fenders on ?

no i didn;t rivet them, here's the issue i have with the riveting... I'm pretty ok with cutting the fenders since i have a buddy that works at a good bodyshop but let's face it, fiberglass doesn't last long and Voltex overfenders are expensive. ($900 for fenders/$700 for paint) I have made the plunge to get these wheels and tires and the wide fenders to match and don't really want to do this all over again. So when not if the fenders get jacked up, i want to take them off and leave my car as is. So riveting isn't an option. Cutting the fender looks almost like stock so that's why i'm ok with doing that if need be.

The drivers side fits perfect it's just that the pass. side is a bit warped. My goal is a fast street car that occasionaly sees the drag strip, so 265 tires are plenty big. The overfenders were strictly to cover these wheels and tires, since rolling the fenders wasn't enough. So i rolled them all the way and put these fenders on. The rear overfenders aren't much wider (maybe 1/8 in) then rolled fenders and you still have to cut the voltex fenders alot to clear the rolled/cut fenders. i didn't go wide body for road racing like they are usually used for, i also like to occasionally go to car shows (i know that's not the EVOM.NET reason to do anything). But i like the way Voltex looks also.

To each there own i guess, oh and post some pics of your car when you're done would ya?
