i thought it was a direct fit.

I was refering to the crash beam. The bumper is a direct fit. I had to chop up the bumper to fit the new race fmic. The larger piping ran into the bumper ducts and the fmic wouldn't fit behind the crash beam. Sorry for the confusion. I babble sometimes and forget what I'm talking about.

my de-evolution of my evolution
best title ever hahahaha thanx for that one

the bumper is a direct fit but, the hood latch need to be cut from the USDM latch, im debating on the rear bumper though i need opinions.. so shoot away

heres my idea
the only JDM IX part i want to get for my car is the rear bumper, thats it just the rear bumper. i think it"ll look pretty sick with the rest of the car. i know i know "you should do a full conversion" i'm doing the 7 conversion to be alil different and i think it'll be diff if i get the IX rear with the 7 wing. i think it looks better and i want to make it my own, regardless i'll end up doin my own thing, but i thinks its cool to hear opinions from other members, i mean thats why we're on the forums anyway right?

thanx for the replies

before I did my conversion, i dabbled with the idea of the 7 front, 9 rear, and keeping the 8 wing... I would have had it say "EVOLUTION VII, VIII, IX" on the back... not really but i did think about it... but everybody and their grandma has the JDM 9 rear... the JDM 7-8 one is allot rarer...

yeah i'm still thinking about the whole nine rear, thanx for the support,
the whole reason i thought about keeping the IX rear is because i do think it looks better than the VII and VIII JDM rear (which are the same only the IX is different) But i am thinking about it, i want to get my hood first and get my OEM VII wing painted and put on before. i"ll post pix soon.

ewww..... should have asked Santa for some grammar tips for Xmas.....

I've done the full 7 conversion and the only thing I haven't changed is the headlights. Mainly because i don't want chrome housings.... Nor am I going to pay $300 or more for lights with different orange markers...
