American Express LOVES me!
I appreciate all the comments guys, I can't believe I logged on a day later to find 5 pages of comments lol.
Lets see, where to start? No it didn't ALL go on the AMex, but alot of it did. There is more stuff you can't really see in the pics or that didn't get noticed by many. Things like the cage and ARC intercooler. Lots of guys have ARC intercoolers, but its the widebody core to go with the it and stuff. I've never seen anyone with that cage before (I read on here a few months ago that someone else had one though).
The reason for my choices in the wing, is naturally that it's a part of the kit. Is it my favorite spoiler for the Evo? Probably not. But I think it fits the car the best in its current form. I chose the low post setting as a personal preferance. Not the best for aerodynamic efficiency, but the best for anti-cop, and anti-rice rocketism.
I had thought about lots of different paint jobs, but ultimately the paint job came down to my preferance. Sure I wanted something that would POP when it gets a cover shot, but ultimately that cover is going to run for a month. I'm going to walk into my garage and see this car for the rest of my life. It was a personal choice to make it flat black, other peoples opinions didn't influence that.
The Top Secret Gold wheels were chosen to make the paint pop even more, no other color could emphasize the flat black better than this color. That, and having the TS Gold made it just a tad more exclusive, not too many guys (there are some though) have them.
The kit for those who asked, is too expensive. It isn't worth it, and you shouldn't do it. Not to mention the sheer logistics of sourcing the parts and the 4-6 month wait, the sticker shock, things like that. The kit itself is pricey, then you realize you need wheels, you need intercooler and radiators, you don't wanna run american parts anymore because they dont flow... yada yada yada.
I'm not just saying that because I would prefer there only be like a half dozen here anyways
The carbon piece on the C pillar as someone mentioned was made to blend the kit together with the car incase it was riveted. Mine was molded onto the car, so that piece wasn't needed. But this first year the car is going to be on the show circuit, so it completes the kit and gets more points. After that, I'll take it off, it looks goofy, and serves no purpose.
Someone asked about fitting these wheels on a stock IX? Not possible, sorry.
Headlights? They are coming, someone buy my Greddy Ti so I can buy my headlights!
I probably missed a few questions, sorry. I really just wanted to say thanks for the comments, positive and opinions. They are all appreciated. There are many times I just wanna light the car on fire and collect insurance for it, but guys like you remind me why I did it. Its sure not because my girlfriend likes it!

Overall it's pretty cool. Looks rad.
Too bad it's a show car and not going to see the track, at least you haven't mentioned it being a track car just a show car. That tire/wheel combo can make for some grip, what suspension is on the car and what's under the hood?
If that's a cage that you think "no one has", it must be a pre-fab bolt-n, and likely not worth much in terms of protection. And in my opinion that wing is the ultimate ricer statement - mounted that low it's worthless (ricer).
How is a radiator or IC related to a body kit, and why does a widebody need anything special? If that's an ARC IC where is the ARC logo? Isn't that why people buy ARC, to show off the logo...

Its not a track car, in its current state it CAN'T be a track car. Because your right, it is a pre-fab bolt in kit. That kit would never, ever, EVER pass a safety check, the cage would fold at the bends.
Right now the car makes 343 on 91. I'm awaiting more funds to put in a Power Enterprise kit (fingers crossed). Its still on the stock turbo. A few of the major magazine's won't put the car on the cover until it makes 500 on race. I'm torn between getting a Free kit (with a magazine feature/cover) or running the kit I wan't out of pocket.
How is running a lower (but still functional) spoiler the ultimate ricer statement compared to the dozens of people who said the wing should be left off in this very thread?
And last I checked, the thread wasn't titled "OMG WOWZ LOOK AT THESE BODY KITS!#$#" So I don't see where you were going with the radiator//intercooler comment? What makes them special is that WITHOUT the widebody kit, you would run the standard ARC intercooler.
I appreciate your comments, you obviously don't get it. It's no big deal, I didn't use to either. I used to paint my own headlights and stock wheels, and I used to buy my parts off ebay. There is nothing wrong with that. An Ebay 02 housing preforms marginally different than a Titek 02 housing. The only real difference is price. I chose to go with the higher priced item (ala ARC) for its exclusivity and recognition in the show circuit.
The car won't be tracked for at LEAST another year. Seeing as how you pointed out how expensive this stuff is, I'm sure you can imagine that I would like some recognition (show circuit, sponsors, and mag features) before I wad it up in turn 5 at Willow. I'd probably wonder what my glock tastes like if I were to do something like that without having the magazine sitting ontop of my toilet.
To each his own though... I work 4 days a week, and go to school 2, I can't afford a stroker yet. I had the choice to have a car that looks bone stock, that no-one cares about and gets no recognition, but goes insanely fast. Then at a later time, build the exterior. Or I had the choice to do the opposite. My thinking was that, with the recognition the car will get for the exterior, it will make it easier to modify the engine bay (and it is looking to be that way.)
Do-luck isn't going to give you a body kit because you have a stroker. Lots of companies will give out power mod's becaus the do-luck kit gets a cover.
Get what I'm saying? Rice, cheap, smart, my .02.

Your car looks absolutely fantastic. The only part I don't like is the side skirt, but obviously that's a Do-Luck piece. That's simply the best widebody kit out there for our cars.
The problem, of course, is that I probably couldn't bear to risk cracking my lip on the autocross course were I to do an install like that :\
